Stray Welfare
We are independent stray carers with varying years of experience who care for stray cats and dogs - and often finding them forever homes - without help from any institutions. The stray crisis is near and dear to us. Promoting kapon is an important local advocacy activity for us. Providing low-cost kapon options in NCR South is also a priority, as it supports local stray carers with limited options. Local kapon days help us boost stray care efforts in our colonies.
Responsible Pet Care
Unfortunately, we have seen that animal abuse is rampant in our localities, as pet owners continue to neglect and harm - consciously or not - the animals in their care. We hope our events promote general responsible pet care by making consultations and vaccinations more accessible, encouraging peer influence, and connecting local pet owners.
WHY WE DO KAPON DAYS

HOW WE DO KAPON DAYS
Organising
Coordination
Vet Team
Local Volunteers:
set up website, registration, and advertising
represent only point of contact with clients, including payment
engage with local authorities to book and set up the venue
field questions
upsell kapon, core vaccines & deworming
engage the public on TNVR
promote responsible pet care and stray welfare
update vet team
registration numbers
special concerns
potential walk-in interest
Volunteers enforce biosecurity:
venue disinfection (pre- and post-event)
upon arrival, conduct cursory inspections of each animals to identify potential symptoms
maintain social distancing between animals
supervise and enforce physical boundaries (e.g. carers to keep distance from vet team)
Once we get things right, eventually we hope to grow the monthly event:
we would like to develop gathering spaces for local stray cares for co-support
adoptions events (where adoptees are not present)
promote local holistic care pet supply products
carry out surgeries
handle difficult animals
hold walk-in consultations
brief carers (if desired)
provide feedback for next time
send us a single bill for the day
coordinate with us on following month's schedule
We engage vet teams who understand and meet our basic requirements for stray-centric biosecurity measures and respectful collaboration.
When we are unable to find vet teams who meet these basic requirements, we prefer to put our events on hold rather than continue working in disrespectful, unhealthy, and dangerous ways.
